By Dr. Brian Rike, DO · Physician-led aesthetics in Durango, Colorado
The best winter gifts in Durango are usually experiences. A ski day. A dinner downtown. A morning with nothing on the list. A skin visit belongs on that list for the person who keeps meaning to do something about their spots and then spends the money on everybody else.
This is a gift guide with the prices we actually publish. If you want to give a treatment, ask us. Call the clinic and we will help you match a visit to the person, the downtime they can live with, and the way you want to surprise them.

Start with the calendar, not the grandest option
A gift that needs 5–10 days of downtime is a generous gift and a logistical one. Halo downtime is 5–10 days depending on the treatment. If you are giving it to someone whose December is wall-to-wall parties, the kinder version of the gift is a January date. The countdown thinking is in the Halo holiday countdown, and the week itself is on Halo downtime and results.
Ask the person, or ask us, what their January looks like. A good gift leaves them room to heal.
Gifts that match a real visit
These are the treatments we can describe with a published price. The right one still depends on the skin, and Dr. Brian Rike, DO makes that call at a consultation.
BBL HERO for sun-season color. A BBL HERO face visit is $550–$600. Dr. Rike performs it. It is the visit for sun damage, pigment, and redness. BBL HERO is as effective as BBL HEROic. It uses the same light energy, and the session just takes a little longer. It is a sweet gift for someone whose Durango summers live on their cheeks. Read BBL HERO results so you know pigment can darken and flake afterward. That is useful information to tuck into the card, so the gift does not surprise them twice.
Halo, when they are ready for a reset. Halo starts at $1,500. The face package is $2,200 and includes BBL HERO with Halo. Neck and chest adds $1,000. Halo improves pigmentation and sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles that are not deep, texture, tone, and smoothness, and it typically shrinks the look of pores. The price breakdown is on the Halo laser cost page. Give this one to someone who has the days, not just the curiosity.
Clear Silk and Glacial Rx, monthly. Clear Silk plus Glacial Rx is $350 a month. It is the lunch-hour end of the menu: redness, a dull winter look, and a visit with no Halo-style peel. Glacial Rx on its own is described on the Glacial Rx page. Andrea Rike performs Glacial Rx, and she also performs BBL BARE and Forever Young BBL. This is a lovely gift for a friend who wants to feel looked after all winter and does not want to disappear for a week.
Daxxify, by the unit. Daxxify is $6.50 a unit, injected by Dr. Rike. Units are chosen for the person, so this gift works best as "I want to cover your next Daxxify visit" rather than a guessed number of units. Ask us and we will tell you how people usually handle that.
Forever Young BBL with Andrea is maintenance. Corrective BBL HERO for sun spots is with Dr. Rike. Ask us which visit you are giving.
How to actually give it
Ask us. That is the whole method.
Call or text (970) 501-0610 and tell us who the gift is for, which visit you have in mind, and whether they know about it. Some people want to book the consultation themselves once they hear the news. Some people want you to hand them a note and a plan. We can help either way.
When it is time to reserve, book on Vagaro at vagaro.com/rmedspa or our book page. A $25 deposit holds the appointment and applies toward a treatment or package. Published prices are on the price list.
A few local ways to wrap it:
- A card that says you are covering a BBL HERO visit, with the price range written in so they know you mean it.
- A January Halo consultation, with a note that the downtime is 5–10 days and you already thought about their calendar.
- A winter of Clear Silk and Glacial Rx, one month or a few, for the friend who is outside in the wind all season.
- A Daxxify visit with Dr. Rike, with the unit price in the card and the unit count left for the appointment.
If you are choosing for yourself, the same list works. Why winter is laser season explains the sun and the schedule.
A gift with the downtime included
The generous part is the week to heal, the ride home, or the promise that you will not put them in a group photo while they are still peeling. Mention that in the card.
Call us before you promise a specific morning. We will help you give something accurate.
Individual results vary. A gift consultation still includes a real look at the skin before anyone treats it.
