R Med+Spa was founded on a simple belief: aesthetic medicine should be held to the same standard as the rest of medicine. That's why every treatment here is led by Dr. Brian Rike, DO, a board-certified physician in Emergency Medicine who personally performs the laser treatments many spas hand off to non-physicians.
Dr. Rike has completed advanced training on Sciton's most sophisticated platforms — including BBL HERO and the Halo hybrid fractional laser — as well as Clear V vascular laser and Contour TRL resurfacing. This is the same best-in-class technology used at leading aesthetic practices, now available right here in Durango.
Dr. Rike earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University. He is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and has practiced medicine for more than a decade. He co-founded R Med+Spa Durango in 2022 with Andrea Rike, bringing years of advanced training in aesthetic medicine, laser technology, and longevity care to the Four Corners region.

His approach is consultative and never one-size-fits-all. Before recommending anything, Dr. Rike takes the time to understand your skin, your goals, and your lifestyle — then builds a plan around what will actually work for you. Meet Andrea Rike
R Med+Spa was Andrea's vision. She dreamed of bringing truly elevated, physician-led aesthetic care to Durango — and together with her husband Dr. Brian Rike, she made it happen. As co-founder and our facial and non-invasive laser treatment specialist, Andrea is the heart of the patient experience at R Med+Spa.
Andrea personally performs many of our most beloved treatments: BBL HERO® Forever Young photofacials, BBL HERO® laser hair removal, infrared pain and wellness treatments, Glacial® Rx CryoModulation facials, and Clear Silk skin rejuvenation. She is also our in-house skincare expert — deeply knowledgeable in medical-grade skincare lines including Epicutis and Alastin, and passionate about helping every patient build a personalized routine that supports and extends their results.
