One-off treatments cannot keep pace with that. Collagen work and pigment correction are gradual processes. They respond to steady repetition, not a single heroic appointment. A monthly protocol gives your skin a predictable rhythm: treat, calm, repeat. Each visit builds on the last instead of starting over. A textured face does not rewrite itself in one lunch hour.
That is why we built a monthly plan rather than a one-time special. It is maintenance the way Durango skin actually needs it. What the protocol is
The package is called Clear Silk & Glacial® Rx Monthly, and it costs $350. It pairs two devices in one visit. First, Clear Silk: Sciton's non-ablative 1064nm laser, often called a lunchtime laser because it fits into a lunch hour and sends you back to your day. It works on collagen, tone, texture, and redness for the face, and a face session runs roughly 20 to 30 minutes.
Second, Glacial® Rx with CryoModulation™, a medical cooling treatment that calms redness and inflammation. It happens right after Clear Silk, in the same visit, so the skin gets both the stimulus and the settle-down.

What cryomodulation actually is
CryoModulation™ is the technology inside Glacial® Rx. It is controlled, medical-grade cooling from an FDA-cleared Class II device, delivered at set temperatures for a set time. The goal is not to freeze anything. It is to reduce heat and inflammation in the skin, which is why it pairs so well after a laser.
This is not freezing. Freezing means ice crystals and tissue injury, which is a different category of treatment entirely. CryoModulation cools the skin comfortably and precisely, without that extreme. Clear Silk is year-round because it is non-ablative. You still need SPF at altitude. Collagen and texture change slowly, which is why monthly visits matter more than a single blast of cold.
It is also not a nitrogen spa cryofacial. Spa cryofacials spray cold nitrogen gas at the face for a brief tightening sensation. Glacial® Rx is a medical device with measured temperature control, used inside a physician-led practice. The difference matters in how consistently the skin is cooled and in who is watching.
Medical care, not a spa facial
A facial can feel lovely and do very little. This protocol is medical aesthetic care. Clear Silk is a Sciton laser with settings chosen for your skin. Glacial® Rx is a Class II medical device. Both are used under physician oversight, with a plan behind them.
That does not make it harsh. The whole point is zero downtime and a comfortable visit. It means the treatment decisions sit with a medical practice rather than a mall counter.
Who this is for
This protocol fits people who want calmer redness, softer visible sun damage, smoother texture, and a steadier glow. Because Clear Silk is gentle and non-ablative, it works year-round, including Colorado summers, when some deeper treatments need careful scheduling around sun exposure.
Some people should wait or start with a consult instead. If you have an active skin infection, recent sunburn, certain photosensitizing medications, or an untreated skin condition, we will sort that out before you buy a monthly plan. New patients should expect to talk with us first.
We will not oversell it. Some skin needs a bigger intervention, and some skin needs patience. Results vary, and we would rather set honest expectations than collect twelve months of a plan that is not the right fit.
What to expect at a visit
You arrive with a clean face. The Clear Silk portion takes roughly 20 to 30 minutes for the face. Most people feel warmth and mild snaps, not pain. There is no numbing required for most, and no wound care afterward, because the laser is non-ablative.
Then, without changing out of your position for long, the Glacial® Rx session cools and settles the skin in the same visit. Many people describe it as the most relaxing few minutes in the building.
The total time for the combined appointment is something we confirm at your consult, because the combined minutes are not locked. Plan on a comfortable visit that fits around a real day. Zero downtime means you can usually return to your day.
Prep and aftercare
Prep is simple. Arrive with clean skin, no makeup on the face, and no fresh tan. Avoid retinoids and exfoliating acids on the face for a few days before if your skin is sensitive.
Aftercare is modest sun sense, which at altitude is not optional. Daily SPF on any skin that sees daylight, a hat on bright days, and nothing aggressive on the face for a day. You can usually return to your day, work out included, though we may suggest easing off if your skin flushes easily. We give you written aftercare specific to your plan.

R Med+Spa is a physician-led practice under Dr. Brian Rike, DO. Candidacy, safety, and the treatment menu sit under that medical direction. He does not personally fire every pulse or deliver each session. In practice, Andrea Rike typically delivers the Clear Silk sessions in Room 1 and the Glacial® Rx sessions in Room 2.

Is there downtime?
Zero downtime is the design. Clear Silk is non-ablative, so most people walk out and continue their day. The Glacial® Rx cooling immediately after helps the skin feel settled. You can usually return to your day.
