BBL Body is broadband light for body-zone pigment, priced at $450/hour. It is not the Face 3-Step and not fat reduction.
The BBL HERO platform targets sun-damage pigment and redness. Below the face, that work is scoped by the hour at $450: chest, hands, arms, shoulders, and other zones, with the time set by the area in front of us. It is a distinct service from the BBL HERO Face 3-Step ($550–$600), from Forever Young maintenance, from the Halo Stacked Package ($2,200 face), and from the Emerald Laser, which changes contour by emptying fat cells rather than color. Individual results vary, and candidacy is set at consultation with a $25 deposit.
Four services, four jobs. Here is the sorting.
The word “contouring” has become a bucket that catches everything from light therapy to fat reduction, and it confuses exactly the people trying to book correctly. Here is the flat sorting of the four services it gets mixed with:
- BBL Body ($450/hr): broadband light for pigment and redness in body zones: chest, hands, arms, shoulders. Color work, below the face, scoped by time.
- BBL HERO Face 3-Step ($550–$600): the corrective multi-pass facial protocol, performed by Dr. Rike. A face service with its own published price.
- Halo + BBL Stacked Package ($2,200 face, +$1,000 neck & chest): the comprehensive face arc with follow-up visits built in. The neck/chest add-on extends that package; it does not turn it into a body menu.
- Emerald Laser (series of 6): non-thermal low-level laser that empties fat cells. Contour in the reshaping sense, not the color sense. Zero overlap with BBL's job.
If your complaint is brown spots and redness on your chest or hands, BBL Body is the tool. If it is fullness you want reduced, that is the Emerald conversation. If it is deep crepiness on the décolleté, that is the Halo/neck-chest conversation. Nobody needs all four.
Why chest, hands, and arms need their own page
Faces get the laser budgets; bodies get the leftovers. In Durango that math is backwards for a lot of patients: chests face the sky on boats and patios, hands grip steering wheels through every sunny commute, and forearms take the trail-side sun all summer. The result is often a treated face sitting above a chest and hands that tell the real age.
Body skin is also different from facial skin: it moves less, heals a little differently, and often holds decades of accumulated pigment. Broadband light handles that job well, but it deserves its own honest scope rather than being an unpriced add-on tacked onto a facial visit. Hence the hourly model.
How the hourly pricing works
$450 per hour, scoped to the area and time your plan needs. Two hands might take a fraction of that hour; a full chest and shoulders might take most of it. You are paying for the light delivered to your skin, not for a package tier someone else designed. The exact time estimate comes at consultation, in writing, before anything is booked.
What the hourly model deliberately does not do: bundle zones you did not ask for. If you want the chest only, the quote is chest only. See the price list for every published figure.

Your visit, and the SPF that protects it
BBL visits run about 30 to 45 minutes on the face; body zones vary with the area, which is why pricing is hourly. Sapphire cooling keeps the light comfortable. Downtime is minimal: treated pigment can darken into a coffee-grounds look before it flakes away over the following days, and that is the device working, not a reaction.
We sit over a mile above sea level, and body zones take sun the face never sees. Daily SPF on the treated area, real clothing coverage, and shade are part of the treatment. Freshly treated skin that meets unprotected mountain sun will repigment faster than the light cleared it.
Results, stated carefully
We publish no percentages, case counts, or session-count promises for body zones. What we can say: broadband light is an established approach for sun-damage pigment and redness, body skin often needs fewer total passes than face skin to show visible change, and individual results vary with your skin, your history, and your sun habits. The honest measurement is your own daylight photos over time, taken at consultation and compared as you go.

Straight answer: we will confirm who performs your body session when you book. Dr. Rike performs the corrective Face 3-Step in the procedure room; lighter BBL work, including Forever Young, is typically delivered by Andrea Rike.
